Coffee guide / Beans & grinding

Coffee beans and how to grind them

Whole beans keep their aroma longer, and you choose the grind each time. Here is the grind for each method and how to keep your beans fresh.

In the cup: Roastswada: 100% Arabica whole beans, medium roast, from our own estate in Chikmagalur.

How to make it

Grind size by method (Keep this table)

  1. Weigh. Weigh the beans for one brew, rather than guessing.
  2. Grind just before. Grind only what you will use. Ground coffee loses aroma faster.
  3. Match the method. Use the table: finer for the steel filter and moka pot, coarser for French press and cold brew.
  4. Store the rest. Keep whole beans in an airtight container, away from light and heat, and use a dry spoon.

Which Kaapiswada coffee to buy

Roastswada (100% Arabica · Whole beans, 250 g): Whole beans from our estate, roast date on the pack, for whatever method you choose.

Also works: Pureswada (100% Arabica · No chicory). No grinder yet? Pureswada is the same Arabica ground for a steel filter.
